Making the switch from Traktor to Rekordbox

Hello Eeveryone,

It’s been awhile since I’ve posted up anything on here. I just want to start off by saying thank you for stopping by my site.

So as the title says I’m officially and slowly making the switch from Traktor to Rekordbox. I’ve used Traktor for about 10 years now as my DVS of choice. But I’ve come to terms I need to expand my horizons and have been looking for new

Software to play on. And with that along comes........

..... yes, Rekordbox. Now I have used Serato and some of my friends swear by it but it’s never felt right for me which is why I went straight to Traktor.

Rekordbox for me has hit all the right points for me and including my new venture into Video mixing which has been something I wanted to do. I am currently in the process of expanding my video library and am implementing this to my #Beats4Brunch event that my friends and I spin at on Sunday at Pizzeria Mazzo.

I know, I know... Serato does video but from what I hear you need to pair it up with MixEmergency to get it’s full potential. I’m just looking for that all in one software package.

This now brings me to my next two additions with Rekordbox that I am extremely excited for (that are unfortuently back ordered).

Pioneer DDJ-1000

Pioneer RB-DMX1

Again I am looking for an all in one solution as I am a heavy mobile DJ and this will allow me to have the portability I need, the tried and true industry standard in DJ equipment from Pioneer, and ease of lighting up events and bars with minimal software inputs from myself.

Hopefully once I receive my new toys I’ll be able to post up some videos of some open format mixes as majority reviews or demos are always House tracks.

Anyway thanks again and hope to keep these blogs up. If you have any questions please feel free to shoot me a message.
